Tyler was a big-hearted young man we lost unexpectedly to suicide in April 2016.
We founded the Tyler Moniz Project to celebrate his life by helping others facing depression, mental health challenges and suicidal thoughts.
The Tyler Moniz Project, is working to start conversations around mental health, we support counseling and educational programs that promote mental health and wellness, particularly with our youth.
We know that suicidal thoughts grow in the darkest places.
By casting light and creating safe spaces we want to help people find a way out.
We're pleased to announce that we have developed a tangible way to get Bainbridge Island talking.

We have a support group for families that have had a member attempt suicide. The group is lead by Vicky Goguen MS, LMHC The group meets every other Wednesday, 7pm -9 at the Bainbridge Island Pavilion. 403 Madison Avenue. (upstairs, follow the signs).
The Tyler Moniz Scholarships are awarded each year for kindness and sportsmanship to Bainbridge Island high school students.
